The ladies from Chiles (FL) High School threw down in a big way on Saturday during the 4x800m at the Florida Pepsi Relays.
It was the last lap of the 4x800m and the anchor leg from Chiles was in second, almost 50 meters behind Mater Academy's (FL) anchor leg. Slowly, the runner from Chiles closed the gap down on the runner from Mater Academy. In the final 200 meters, Chiles's anchor leg made the pass on Marter Acadamy's anchor and ran down the home stretch for the win.
The ladies from Chiles finished with the US No. 2 time of 9:14.93, while the ladies from Marter Acadamy finished second with a US No. 2 time of 9:21.32.
