Mount De Sales Academy (MD) teammates Juliette Whittaker and Samantha Facius battled to the line on Saturday at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Center in Landover, Maryland.

The final stretch was a back-and-forth between the two before Whittaker took the lead into the bell lap. But Facius didn't let her get away, as she closed the gap and took the lead on the final curve.

With a strong final push, Whittaker came back to win, clocking 11:09.71, while Facius would come just a hair behind in 11:09.75.

The top three efforts from the meet currently stand as US No. 9, 10 and 11 for 3200m.
