Analysis: Christian Brothers Academy out of Lincroft, New Jersey, has been a mainstay in the yearly national conversation dating back to the start of region qualifying meets in 2008.
They've won five of nine NXN Northeast Region team titles and have qualified for NXN seven times. In 2011, the squad had their best team performance at NXN by finishing first with 91 points on a 15:58 average and 24-second one-through-five split. This year is taking shape quite similarly to previous years.
This fall, the Colts will have three of their top five and four of their top seven returning. According to the MileSplit team scores based on 2017 PRs, they have a 1-5 average team time of 15:43.84 and a 1-5 split of 1:03.00. Their top three returning guys will be rising seniors Luke Reid, Tim McInerney, and rising junior Troy Hill. Reid placed 45th at Nike Cross Nationals while McInerney placed 111th, and Hill placed 71st. In 2017 the team finished seventh at Nike Cross Nationals.
