We're only shortly into New Balance Nationals Indoor, but already have a few records have gone down.
Bullis School (MD) sophomore Leah Phillips, who currently is third on the Maryland leaderboard in the 55mH, won the Emerging Elite 60mH finals on Friday at the Armory in New York in a new meet record of 8.49 seconds. Her time was 0.03 seconds faster than the old EE record of 8.52 and gave her a US No. 9 performance.
Her teammate, Cierra Pyles, finished first in the prelims and went fourth in the finals.
