
Some may call this the golden age of pole vaulting. Those people would have a valid point.
Over the past few years we've seen some all-time eye-popping marks go down across the nation, from Lafayette (LA) High's Armand (Mondo) Duplantis and his national and world record breaking feats, to the innumerable 13-foot clearances from the girls.
The 2017-2018 indoor season has proven to give us no shortage of incredible marks, as we have already seen two boys clear 18-0, another clear 19-1, and a female from New York go 14-feet-plus.
And we still have one more day in January!
MileSplit sought out to determine who is the top state in the country in this event. We looked at all of the male athletes who have cleared 14-6 and all of the female athletes who have passed 11-6, then we sorted them by state and determined the percentage of which their respective states made up the total tally.
