Kenneth Rooks (WA)
Why: Kenneth Rooks will be taking his first shot at a national qualifying meet this weekend in Boise, Idaho. The Walla Walla Valley Academy senior won his Class 1A state meet as a sophomore finished, fourth as a junior, and won again this year as a senior. He's looking to mix it up with some of the best of in the region and have a chance to get to the national stage. His time from the WIAA state championships last weekend was seventh-fastest in the meet.
