Top 7 USA Athletes To Watch At Pan American Juniors

4.Turner Washington

Event: Discus

Hometown: Tucson, Az.

School: Canyon Del Oro High, Class of 2017, University of Arizona

Breakdown: Washington was downright dominant in 2017, pumping out throws of 200 feet or more on 10 separate occasions. But that doesn't quite do him justice, either. His marks were routinely over 210 feet and he had two marks over 220, including his nation-leading throw of 227-10.25, which fits No. 4 all-time on the high school charts. But it didn't end with a USA trophy. Washington failed to produce a throw over 200 feet at USAs and fell to second-place overall with a throw of 195-1.75, just behind Texas A & M University signee Gabe Oladipo, who threw a season PB of 215-2 in March. So don't be surprised if you see a motivated Washington going for broke at Pan American Juniors. He may be eyeing up a better performance.
