Freshmen Markalah Hart runs US No.3 41.15 at FHSAA 3A Region 4.

This is not only a record year for the number of performances breaking the 42-second barrier, but also for Union Catholic's Sydney McLaughlin new national record time of 38.90. 

In the same race, Norco's Shae Anderson crushed the 11th fastest all-time time and 7th fastest ever performance running 40.41.

Just this past weekend a new hurdle star emerged in Florida: freshmen Markalah Hart. Hart posted a 41.10 to win the FHSAA 3A Region 4 meet. Her time is only .34 second off a freshmen national class record in the event.
