Fossil Ridge H.S., Fort Collins, CO ONSITE COVERAGE RESULTS POSTED PHOTOS
Led by Walter Schafer (15:30), Cherry Creek captured the 5A Boys' crown by 20 points over the Nicolls-led Regis Jesuit squad. Evan Appel (Sr., Dakota Ridge) was 10 seconds better than Schafer to take the individual title. MS #5 Fort Collins, led by Miranda Benzel (18:23), who was fourth to winner Allie McLaughlin, 17:04 (Air Academy), won the 5A girls team title. Joseph Manilafasha (Sr., Denver North) recorded the fastest time (15:08) of the day in winning the Boys 4A Race.
Classical Academy junior Kaitlin Hanenburg (pictured left in Alan Vershaw photo) won the girls 3A race in 17:47, leading TCA to the team title.

Bismarck High placed three runners in the top five to easily claim the Class A Boys title. Senior Joash Osoro (15:57) ran the fastest time of the day to pace Bismarck. Teammate Devin Huizenga finished second in 16:28.Twins Justin and Jeremy Grinnel swept the top two places to lead New Town to the Class B win. Bismarck and New Town won the girls title also, as West Fargo freshman Alissa Mears' 14:46 (4k) was tops among the girls.

Running cross country for the first time this season, Westerly senior Andrew Springer (photo by King To) won the Boys' Class B title with a time of 15:56. Teammate Tim O'Loughlin was second (16:13). Jenna Riley (Coventry) won the Class A race in 18:41, the fastest time of the day.

Danielle Menlove (Fr., Jordan) registered the fastest time of the day, carving up the 3.0-mile course in 17:42. The 5A champ was the only girl out of the five classifications to break 18 minutes. Jonathan Nelson (Timpview) won the Boys' 5A title, posting a 15:17, the best of the day.
