#3 Nevada Mareno Repeats As North Carolina 4A State Champ

No. 3 ranked Nevada Mareno of Leesville Road High School successfully defended her 4A state title in 17:27.62, a record for the new course configuration at Ivey Redmon Sports Complex. Mareno announced her verbal commitment to run for Stanford earlier this week. She will ramp up her training again before competing at the Foot Locker South Regional in two weeks.
