No. 3 ranked Nevada Mareno of Leesville Road, N.C. announced her verbal commitment to Stanford in a Facetime interview on Sunday.
The senior placed third at Foot Locker in 2015 and won the New Balance Nationals Indoor mile as a sophomore in March of last year. She was runner-up to Weini Kelati at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor two mile this spring in 10:00.44.
