Unranked Heather Holt Over #13 Rachel McArthur!
There's officially a new star in Virginia cross country! Heather Holt of George C. Marshall continued her impressive fall campaign by taking down No. 13 ranked Rachel McArthur, 17:27.8 to 17:58.4, at the Third Battle Invitational.
Holt's win lead George C. Marshall to the team title with 87 points over Loudoun Valley (152 points).
The junior was listed on the bubble of the most recent Saucony Flo50 update, as her only losses this season were to #5 Kate Murphy and #7 Kelsey Chmiel. She also owns the state's fastest 5K time this season in 16:56.
