Brie Oakley Breaks 16 Minutes, Sets Woodbridge Meet Record
The Woodbridge XC Classic has gone through four different courses: the classic Woodbridge course, Estancia course, Great Park course and this year's SilverLakes course. On Saturday night, Brie Oakley ran faster than anyone else in Woodbridge history by torching the course in 15:53.60. The only other girl to break 16 minutes in meet history is Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley, who ran 15:57 in 2013 at Estancia.
The No. 6 ranked Oakley beat out a field that included No. 18 Julia Heymach of Texas.

In the team standings, unranked Desert Vista edged No. 3 ranked Great Oak, 49 to 65. Unranked Southlake Carroll and Mountain Vista defeated No. 17 Buchanan and No. 6 Arcadia, who competed without two of their projected top five scorers.
