The Rio Paralympic Games Rundown

Today Hunter Woodhall qualified for the 200m finals at the Rio Paralympic Games while representing Team USA. The 17-year-old took second in his heat with a new PB of 21.50. He competes under the T44 classification.

Woodhall was born in Cartersville, GA with a congenital defect called fibular hemimelia in which his fibulas in his lower legs never formed, leading to the amputation of his legs below the knee at 11 months old. Despite this obstacle, Woodhall is one of the top quarter mile recruits in the Class of 2017. He won the Utah state title in the 400m for Syracuse High School this past spring and owns a PB of 47.63.

Check back Monday to see how Woodhall does in the 200m finals.
