If you haven't heard of Anna Sophia Keller, it's because she competes in the smallest classification in the state of Illinois: Class 1A. The rising senior runs undefeated every season and clocks nationally elite times as a solo front runner. She's an eight-time state champion and owns PBs of 4:52.15 for 1600m and 10:22.16 for 3200m. Her true calling may be cross country, though -- last year, she ran 16:21 on the three-mile state meet course, the sixth-fastest time ever recorded at Detweiller Park. She did not contend for post-season honors as a junior, but as a sophomore in 2014, she was third at NXN Midwest and 72nd at NXN. We hope to see her stay healthy and go for another national berth this fall.
