The American record holder for 5K and 10K turns 32 today. The New Yorker ran 14:42.64 for 5K at the 2014 Diamond League meet in Monaco and added the 10K record to her resume this summer, when she ran 30:13.17 for sixth place at the Olympic Games in Rio.
She's the fastest-ever American in distance events on the track. That feat made us wonder: who ran faster in high school? As a senior at Elmira Notre Dame, Huddle ran PBs of 4:22.1 for 1500m, 4:46.42 for the mile, 9:21.37 for 3K and 10:01 for two miles.
