Sam Affolder Breaks National Freshman Steeplechase Record
Sam Affolder of Carthage High School in New York broke the national freshman class record in the 3K Steeplechase with a time of 9:38.00 at the Westhill Steeplefest. He placed second in the event behind his older brother, Noah, who ran 9:16.5 for the win. The prior record belonged to Aidan Tooker, a fellow New Yorker and current senior at Saratoga Springs High School.
