Weekend Rundown: 7 Things You Need to Know

1. Jordan Geist Joins the All-Time Club

The single biggest performance of the weekend was a bomb unleashed by Geist in western Pennsylvania. Competing at the Slippery Rock Invite, Geist threw the shot sixty-nine feet, six and a half inches. That breaks Ryan Whiting's Pennsylvania state record and makes Geist the ninth best indoor performer in American high school history. 69-6.5 is also the best indoor shot put performance in the country since 2011. And it's just the beginning of Geist's junior year.
