Bobby Colantonio debuts in weight throw
At the 2015 Dartmouth Relays, Bobby Colantonio was still throwing in the heavy shadow of his Barrington High School teammate Adam Kelly, a three-time national champion.
He would defeat Kelly for the first time in the spring, moving to No. 7 on the Weight Throw U.S. All-Time List (243-7) ahead of No. 8 Kelly (243-1) and winning USATF Junior Nationals, USATF National Junior Olympics and place fifth at the World Youth Championships. As the 2015 Boys Thrower of the Year, no debut throws performance is more heavily anticipated than that of the University of Alabama recruit.
