When Aidan Tooker's name comes to mind, you may currently associate it with an athlete who's not on his "A Game". The Saratoga Springs senior had a very solid cross country season, but was one of the big name athletes who didn't have the race he hoped for at NXN, finishing 37th...but here's why none of that matters.


Forget all that! Track is back, and Tooker is one of NY's best on the oval. He's the defending 3200m state champion in a state where every distance state title has to be earned the hard way. The 3200m final last year was one of the most memorable finishes of the entire indoor season with Mikey Brannigan yet again being denied a state title, this time by .03s to Tooker's last second dive.

Why is this all important now? It's common for cross country athletes who compete indoors to get in a race right after their season ends to drop a fast time or hit a state standard while they are still in peak XC form. Tooker is no exception, and toed the line this weekend at the Armory Hall ...
