Is 2015 the year that Fayetteville Manlius goes down in their own state? Flo50 #2 ranked Saratoga Springs looked strong in their season opener, sweeping the top 7 overall spots led by Kelsey Chmiel. The freshman ran 17:55.42, as fellow freshman Paris Fenoff took runner-up honors and also ran under 18 minutes with a 17:55 clocking.
The top five ran 18:36 or faster, with the entire top seven clocking in 5k under 18:50. They scored a perfect 15 points to defeat Colonie (91 points).
On the boys side, Saratoga Springs senior and Flo50 #11 ranked Aidan Tooker ran 15:11.68 to win the individual title and lead the squad to an overall program sweep with 58 points.
