Results: Boys Champs. / Girls Champs.

Boys

Danbury continued their dominance of the Northeast, winning the New England Championships Saturday in grand fashion.  The squad used a strong pack of 28 seconds to beat the field by over 100 points.  Danbury beat East Greenwich (RI) by a 43-148 margin.  Senior Matt Terry and Willie Ahearn led the team to victory, placing fourth and fifth overall respectively.

Behind Danbury the race for second was extremely close.  Con-Val (NH) entered the day hoping to give Danbury a run, but a sub-par race by a couple of their athletes left them battling for second.  However, the squad faltered in the final minute of the race, losing to East Greenwich 148-149.  Senior Alex McGrath led Con-Val in twelfth.

Girls

Hanover (NH) looks like a team on a mission.  In the girls race Saturday the team placed five in the top fifteen team places, dominating the field.  Hanover beat second place Glastonbury 43-175, as the squad put seven runners ahead of every other teams fifth runner.  This type of dominance sets the team up for a fantastic run at NTN Northeast Regional.
