1. Sydney McLaughlin (Union Catholic NJ, 2017)
McLaughlin took the high school track and field world by storm last year, racing to the New Balance Nationals Outdoor title in the 400-meter hurdles. She made her name at the USATF Junior Nationals, where she finished runner-up only to the reigning NCAA Champion Shamier Little of Texas A&M. McLaughlin recorded a PR of 55.63 at the event, but was deemed too young at 14 to attend the IAAF World Juniors.
