Watch the race all the way to its shocking conclusion!
Perhaps the greatest battle of the evening was in the Girls 3,200m as Blacksburg senior Bonnie Angermeier outleaned E.C. Glass sophomore Libby Davidson, 10:41.04 to 10:41.38. The times rank US #4 and US #5, as third placer Emily Mulhern (Urbana, MD) also broke 11 minutes with 10:57.57. Davidson was Virginia's top cross country harrier in the fall, but Angermeier is on a recent tear. Her only loss this indoor track season was in a season-opening 11:00 flat two-mile at the Liberty Elite Meet to teammate Jennifer Fleming.
The Boys 3,200m was even closer as Evan Benjamin (Midlothian) pulled out the win in 9:25.06 over Amir Khagani (9:25.83), Gannon Willcutts (9:26.66) and Jordan Leon (9:26.68).
