Foot Locker Nationals champion Anna Rohrer (Mishawaka, IN) will represent Team USA at the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country race on Saturday, January 10. She will blog for MileSplit through the event.
Well I'm finally here! My flight from South Bend was delayed almost three hours because the plane was late and they had to de-ice the runway. Luckily the connecting flights went well, but I didn't get much sleep. It was really exciting to meet the other USA team members and hear about their past experiences.
My first run was beautiful because the sun came out after a rain storm, and I ran on a path up a small mountain. However, my legs felt really tired after 18 hours of traveling, so I did what I could. After a late lunch, I caught up with some people from the junior team and we walked around to different shops. I love seeing people of different cultures! Tomorrow we will get to view the course and hopefully tour a castle! I can't wait to see what the day brings. :)
