
John Dressel is back on track to show himself as one of the best distance runners in the country. After nearly pulling off a shocker at Foot Locker Nationals last December, but ending up second to Grant Fisher at Balboa Park, Mount Spokane High School's Dressel had difficulty keeping that momentum into the track season against other top national distance peers. After a humbling 15th place finish at the Arcadia Invitational (yet still running 9) in the 3200, Dressel had a much better showing in the Brooks PR Invitational in the post-season with a 7th place 8:58 performance and also ran a 4:10 1600 PR at the Washington State Meet. With 6 of the top 9 returnees from last year's Foot Locker Nationals coming from the West Region, Dressel is part of the best boys region for Foot Locker with the likes of 2013 returning All-Americans Matthew Maton (OR), Eliah Armstrong (ID), Conner Mantz (UT), and Trevor Reinhart (CA) as well as from a great state in Washington with two more sub 9 min...
