University of Georgia recruit Keturah Orji leads the nation in both the long jump and triple jump. A New Jersey Meet of Champions winner, Orji won a pair of national titles last month at the New Balance Nationals in both events as she matched her personal best in the long jump with a leap of 20'11.75" while her three best marks included two over 44 feet with wins at Great Southwest Classic in a wind-aided mark of 44'9.50" and a best wind-legal performance of 44'1.25" from New Jersey Meet of Champions. She is chasing after the national record of 44'11.75", which she was 3/4 of an inch off last summer at the World Youth Championships, but will likely have two more opportunities to go after the mark at the US Junior Nationals and World Junior Championships. In a two week span in March, Justin Northwest High School (TX) senior Desiree Freier had set national records both indoor and outdoor in the pole vault. After clearing a US high school #1 all-time height of 14'2.75" at the New Balance Nationals Indoor and seven days later at the Texas Relays would establish a new outdoor national record in the pole vault with a clearance of 14'3.25". Freier would go over 14 feet several more times in the outdoor season including a 14'6" clearance at her district meet, which was actually held indoors due to bad weather. Freier had a few more major titles to her high school career accomplishments including her first Texas state title and a New Balance Nationals outdoor title. Freier competes this weekend at US Junior Nationals with the rest of her 2013 World Youth teammates with the same idea of making a World Youth team. (Photo by Jeff Sides)

Only a sophomore and the daughter of a famous NFL quarterback in Randall Cunningham, Bishop Gorman High School's (NV) Vashti Cunningham is making a name for herself and could end up being the country's greatest female high jumper ever at her current progression. Cunningham is now ranked US #2 all-time in the high jump with her 6'3" clearance from her regional meet, while she went over 6 feet in virtually every meet that she competed in this season. The only thing left for her to accomplish the next two years of high school is take down the national high school record of 6'4" held by multiple Olympic team member Amy Acuff from Texas. Acuff's record has now lasted over 21 years. (Photo by Margot Kelly)

A strong runner-up at both the California State Meet and New Balance Nationals with leaps over 20 feet, Courtney Corrin is hoping a spot on the World Junior team will make for missing out on titles in both of those meets. A World Youth finalist last summer in Urkaine with a 5th place finish, the Harvard Westlake (CA) senior Corrin built upon that summer finish with several performances over 20 feet this spring and a few more approaching the mark. Corrin had her season best mark of 20'8.25" in a wind-legal jump at the Mt. SAC Relays, which ranks her US #3 heading into the US Junior Nationals. (Photo by Kirby Lee of Image of Sport)

While she was never able to best her wind-aided mark of 42'3.25" from her Texas Relays winning performance in late March, Asa Garcia of Texas City did have two more marks well over 40 feet and both wind legal in her runner-up finish at the US Area Youth Olympic Selection Trials at 40'11.75" as well as claiming the Texas 4A state title in the triple jump with a leap of 40'8.50". The junior Garcia, who will be the top returning triple jumper in the country next year based off her Texas Relays mark, also added a Texas 4A state title this season. (Photo by Alex Aldaco)
