This year's freshman girls class is looking like it could shape up to be one of the best in the last four years. There have been some big-name talents who've emerged and made a name for themselves on the national stage. One of them is Muskegon Western Michigan Christian's Abby Vanderkooi. The freshman has run the fastest time in the class of 2022 with her 16:57.30 at the GMAA Invitational. That hasn't been her only impressive performance, though: She's run sub-18-minutes in all but one of her 12 outings so far this season.
