Brandon Miller has been in the national spotlight since a very young age and has yet to leave it. He will be one of the top athletes to watch at AAU Jr. Olympics as he competes in the 800, 1500, 4x400, and 4x800 for Ultimate Speed Academy (St. Louis, MO).
Miller averaged 18.65 for the 150s which equates to a 24.87 200. His slowest reps came on his second attempt -- 19.1 (25.47) -- and his fastest came in his final rep -- 17.6 (23.47). He finished off the day with hurdle drills and a core routine.
That weekend, he would go on to run 1:51.82 and 4:25.88 in the 800 and 1600, respectively, at Class 3 Sectional 1 and would go on to run personal bests of 1:49.55 and 4:23.00 at the MSHSAA Class 3 State Track and Field Championships the next weekend, adding a 46.89 anchor split for the silver medal in the 4x400.
Since then, Miller has earned gold medals at the Festival of Miles, Brooks PR Invitational, and AAU Region 15 Qualifier in the 800. A victory in the 800 at this year's Junior Olympics would be his ninth straight. He also breezed to victory in the 1500 and will look to win his eighth straight AAU Junior Olympics Championship in the event this weekend.

After forgoing his sophomore cross country campaign and playing basketball for his John Burroughs Bombers, Miller's season got started later than most of his competitors, but he spoke about that decision post-workout.
