Debate: Who's The Most Consistent High School Sprinter Ever?

Fastest at 200 meters is a different question all together.

While Schwartz is in the conversation, he's not the all-time best here.

That honor belongs to either Lyles, Friday or Norman, who dominated their senior seasons.

While Friday finished with two ridiculous all condition efforts under 20.05 and Lyles scored a 20.04 second time (+3.3), Norman dropped three efforts under 20.20 and one under 20.25.

Is it any surprise that Norman, a sophomore at Southern California, is the top athlete at 200 meters just two years removed from high school?

Probably not.

He went 19.84 (+2.8) at the Pac-12 Championships in May and logged a wind-legal 20.06 (-1.4) in April. He's even better at 400 meters.

Friday chose to leave Florida State in 2015 and turn pro but hasn't gone under 20 seconds since. Lyles has posted faster times since signing with adidas and went 19.9 (-0.4) in 2017 and 19.69 (+2.0) in May of this year.

But this is a conversation about each of these athletes and what kind of legacy they left in high school.

At 200 meters, that answer is easy.
