The Skinny: UCLA bet big on these athletes before they even made their rises in high school track. But it's already paying off in a huge way. Guttormsen, the second best vaulter of all time now after his vault of 18-2.50 at the Arcadia Invitational, joins the Bruins, while Sean Lee, a senior from Trabuco Hills, has cleared three heights over 7-feet in the high jump, including a US No. 1 mark of 7-3. Charvett, a senior from Heritage High, is fighting his way toward sub-1:50 effort in the 800m and his second straight CIF title in the event, while Gruenwald is one of the best multi-jumpers in Arizona. She's currently US No. 2 in the long jump and US top 50 in the triple jump.
