After three close calls, Virginia takes home the 10-point win in the Emerging Elite girls division.
The state made up for a poor showing in the sprints and a sub-par showing in the distance events with stellar performances in the relays and field events, particularly in the 4x200. Virginia teams went 1-2-3-7 in the 4x2, led by Western Branch, Nansemond River, and Oscar Smith High School.
