The Skinny: Desert Vista certainly qualifies as the most shocking wild-card bid on the boys side (sorry, Burnt Hills and Lyons Township). The Arizona state champs are going to NXN off the strength of their performance at Woodbridge, where they placed second behind Great Oak and soundly defeated several California powerhouses plus Texas's Southlake Carroll, which earned an auto-bid by placing second at NXR South.
