The Top 10 Freshmen Men To Make An Impact At NCAAs

Eduardo Herrera (Colorado)

Eduardo Herrera is not a true freshman like Clinger and some of the other runners on this list, but there is no doubt he is making an impact on the FloXC No. 6 ranked Colorado men's scoring power. Herrera is a 2016 graduate of Madera South High School in Central California near Fresno. He redshirted his 2016 cross country season at Colorado, and it seems to be paying off.

He's been a scoring member of Colorado's squad in every race he's run this year. His biggest races were the NCAA Division I (DI) Pre-Nationals where he finished, 14th helping the University of Colorado take home second place, and the PAC 12 Championships where he finished 10th, helping Colorado to again place second. Most recently Herrera placed 25th at the NCAA DI Mountain Regional helping the team to a third-place finish behind Northern Arizona University (NAU) and BYU. Not to mention he's one of only two freshmen on the 2017 FloXC Men's Individual Rankings.
