Team Results:

A powerhouse matchup went down at the Marion Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University. Two preseason Flo50 girls were pitted head-to-head on a fast course. 

Ultimately it was the depth of No. 18 Fort Wayne Carroll (Indiana) that made a statement, downing No. 11 Carmel (Indiana) High with a score of 47 points.

Carmel finished third overall behind Noblesville. 

Fort Wayne Carroll was led by freshman Zoe Duffus, who finished second overall in a U.S. No. 10 time of 17:45.40. The squad, which scored its two to six runners in front of Carmel's No. 2, was strengthened by a spread of 63 seconds. 

Carmel, meanwhile, saw sophomore Phoebe Bates finish third overall in a U.S. No. 16 time of 17:52.30.

Individual Results: 

DeKalb's Tyler Schwartz dropped a U.S. No. 5 winning time of 17:34.90,  just five seconds off her career best, and 27 seconds off her previous performances of 18:01 in two consecutive weeks prior. 

It was also the second-fastest girl's time nationally from the weekend. 

The meet produced seven top-50 times in the girls field nationally.
