Preseason No. 4 boys team Wayzata (Minnesota) looked right on the mark Saturday at the Columbus Catholic Invitational in Marshfield, Wisconsin, finishing its top five runners in the top nine places and all under 16:05, including 1-2 back-to-back in junior Grant Price (15:45.50) and senior Khaleid Hussein (15:49.40), who was our preseason Flo50 No. 13 runner.
Wayzata, which compiled an incredible split of just 19 seconds, went a little step further, too, finishing its top eight in the race's top 13 places.

In the girls meet, Minneapolis Washburn junior Emily Covert posted a blistering winning time of 17:46.30, which jumped up the U.S. national leaderboard to No. 11.
