Eduardo Herrera (Madera South, CA)
A sub-9 3200m performance at the Arcadia Invitational (8:55.93) makes Eduardo Herrara the sixth-fastest returning 3200m runner in 2015-2016. The rising senior at Madera South High School was consistent this spring, finishing third in the 3200m at the California State Meet with a 9:02.09. His most notable performances from cross country last season were a 5th place at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic running a 14:10 and winning the CIF Southern Section final in a new 5k PR of 15:07. Herrera faces a tough field versus the California DI field, where he will look to improve upon his fourth-place 2014 finish versus top returners, winner Phillip Rocha and third-placer Jake Ogden.
