Who Are MileSplit's Most Popular Girl Athletes Of The Year?

25. Devin Clark (TX)

Devin Clark is one of the best girls distance runners to come out of the state of Texas. During her senior year of cross country, Clark was crushing the competition and courses of the Lonestar state for much of the fall including a 17:10 state meet course record victory. Clark also ran one of the fastest 5K times in the nation last fall with a 16:40 performance at her district meet. A Foot Locker All-American as a junior, Clark was a Nike Cross Nationals All-American as a senior with a 11th place finish in Portland, Oregon.

During the track season, Clark rarely ran over 4:50 for the mile and 1600 including a win at the Texas Relays, a 4:42 mile PR at the Prefontaine Classic, and might have been the fastest state runner-up ever in a 1600 with a 4:42 performance behind Julia Heymach in their Texas 6A state championship race.

Clark also lowered her 3200 meter time down to 10:18, actually back to back 10:18 performances at her regional and state meet before a fourth place finish in the Brooks PR mile to wrap up her high school career at Smithson Valley High School. She will be running at the University of Arkansas in the fall.
