Girls 2K Steeplechase
Rylee Bowen (Sonoma CA) 6:41.26
Recap: Rylee Bowen, who ran a 4:43 1600 this past spring as a freshmen in California at Sonoma Academy, decided to jump in the 2K steeplechase late, which she ended up qualifying for the World Youth Championships in a new California state record time of 6:41.26.
Joining Bowen in Colombia will be rising senior Madie Boreman from Leander Rouse High School in Texas. In Boreman's first steeplechase ever, she finished second with a solid time of 7:03.75.
