Recap: Will Lauer from South Dakota lead wire to wire in this one, going on to take the win in 14:35.71 in his first 5K on the track. He had himself a 25 meter gap only 800 meters into the race! It was clear that he wanted to run well in this one. The real race in this one was the battle for second as the remainder of the field stayed together until the bell lap. Conor Lundy took second with a time of 14:40.61. The pack was able to reel in Lauer a little bit towards the end, but it is important to keep in mind that these guys did finish this Friday scheduled race Saturday morning.
