State of the Action

It's no surprise that the Steeplechase once again looks like a NY reunion, as they are the only state to contest the event in-season. But like last year, the State Title winner will not win the National Title (this time she is simply not entered).

Emily Burns took second place in the State Championships last weekend. However, the race was led most of the way by Anna Kostarellis, before a misstep caused a slip up at one of the final barriers. That means she could be back at the front come this weekend. Alex Harris has the quickest personal best of the bunch, and should be looked at as one of the pre-race favorites.
