State of the Action

Once again, it looks to be a New York affair in the Steeplechase.

Decisive State Champ Jack Jibb is back in the field, and will look to see what he can do over the shorter distance. Normally at 3000m, the lesser laps could prove well for the 1000m runner indoors. But that same effect will be had be all competitors. Eion Nohilly held tight to Jibb throughout the first 2000m at States, and will look to do much the same here.

There are a few out-of-state competitors in the field, who should prove worrying for the top seeds after last year's Bailey Roth blasted a National Record, having never touched a steeple all season. Who knows what they could produce?
