Championship of America Boys 4x400m Finals

Jamaican contingent rolling on the third leg

St. Elizabeth Tech (JAM) kicked the party off with a strong opening leg from Marvin Williams (49.00) to enter the 2nd exchange in the lead. In a similar fashion that we saw in the qualifying heats, Noah Lyles of TC Williams (VA) blew by the three legs that were in front of him going from 4th to 1st in his carry with the fastest split in the entire field (45.4).

Noah Lyles on the way to running the fastest split in the field (45.4) and taking the lead for TC Williams

The third leg is where the miss match took place in favor or Calabar (JAM) as Renado Wilson split 46.57 to TC Williams Thomas Huston's 52.28. Noah Lyles' younger brother Josephus issued the second fast split (46.22) in the entire field behind Noah, but it wasn't enough to catch Michael O'Hara of Calabar.

This marks the second year in a row that TC Williams takes home top US team honors in this event

TC Williams finished in 4th (3:13.97) and Calabar went on to win its second COA 4x400m title in three years running the fifth fastest time in event history (3:09.97).

John Lewis anchors Cheltenham with a 47.00 split

Cheltenham (PA) was the second US team placing 5th overall in 3:15.39.
