New US #1 Rai Benjamin (3) chases race winner Marvin Williams (2) of Jamaica
Recap: The first heat of the boys 400 hurdles jump started the day with Jamaica's Marvin Williams and Rai Benjamin of Mount Vernon (NY) battling it out to fast times with Williams winning in 51.10, while the New Balance Nationals indoor 400 meter champ Benjamin claimed second in a new US #1 time of 51.29.
John Lewis of Cheltenham (PA), the previous US leader in the event, lowered his season and personal best time down to 52.46 for third place in the race.
