Championship of America Girls 4x400 Finals

Edwin Allen girls repeat 4x400m COA title and will bring another wheel back to Clarendon, JAM

Recap: The dangerous foursome of Jamaican mile relay teams ( Edwin Allen, Vere Tech, Holmwood Tech, and St. Jago) jetted out of the blocks to create some separation between themselves and the American contingent of Nansemond River (VA), Western Branch (VA), North Penn (PA), and Columbia (NJ). It almost seemed like the Jamaicans were in an entirely different race as we saw each one of the island squads lead at some point in the race.

Saqukine Cameron of Edwin Allen made a huge move on her anchor leg overtaking Vere Tech and powering home to lead her team sporting the baby blue uniforms to another COA 4x400m title. This marks Edwin Allen's fourth COA 1600m relay win.

Brandee Johnson has yet another speedy kick

It wasn't as pleasant of a finish for the rest of the Jamaican anchors as Brandee Johnson of Nansemond River, VA nearly mirrored her move made in the Large Schools 4x100m Final, just two hours earlier, by catching a slew of Jamaican squads in the final meters. The only difference this time around is the team that reps the letters "WAR" across its chest fell a bit short, resulting in a 3rd place finish (3:43.03).
