Race Preview

On Friday, we were able to preview the course for the first time and the nerves finally kicked in. The whole course, start, and finish were very professionally done and deserving of the world championships.

The course narrowed to three subsequent hairpin turns just 150 meters from the start. After going through a trench/hill combo, the course began to climb for about 800m. A series of downhills and uphills broken up by varying man-made hills rounded out the 2k loop. The Junior girls decided that going out fast to get through the first set of turns and then settling in would be the best strategy come race day.
