MILESPLIT LA POLL WINNERS: Week No. 1!


The votes are in and we have the winners from the Week No. 1 MileSplit LA Polls!

St. Louis Catholic's Hannah Boullion won the MileSplit LA Girls' Performer of the Week by getting 44% of the vote. It was a close race with Scotlandville's Sade Gray (35%), but the sophomore pulled it out.

At the LSU High School Classic, Bouillon finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 58.37. Her time is a marked improvement from her season opening performance of 59.71 at the The Gallaria Games in December.

Bouillon was also on the St. Louis 4x400m relay team which finished fourth (4:07.27), as well as the St. Louis 4x200m team.

In the MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week Poll, Dutchtown's Montrell Morris came out on top getting 39% of the vote. John Curtis' Justin Horne was the runner-up with 23% of the vote.

Morris took home a couple of long-sleeve black shirts after he made a couple of trips to the podium at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse. He finished second in both the long jump (23-00.75) and the triple jump (46-6.25).

In the MileSplit LA Relay of the Week polls, the Lafayette girls 4x400m relay had a majority of all the votes in the girls' division with 56%. In the boys' division, Scotlandville's 4x800 won with 41% of the vote. 

The runner-up in the MileSplit LA Girls' Relay of the Week poll was the Scotlandville 4x200m  (27%). The runner-up in the MileSplit LA Boys' Relay of the Week poll was Zachary's 4x400m (31%).

Lafayette finished fifth in the girls 4x400m relay (4:08.68) at the LSU High School Classic. Scotlandville finished third in the boys' 4x400m relay (8:27.94), but had the fastest time of all Louisiana teams.

The winners in each poll will move on and be in the running for MileSplit LA Performer of the Month and Relay team of the month. Thanks to all who voted!
