The Dish: Mwaura did not sign over the early period, though he did plan many of his college visits just after that date and through the fall when he finished fourth at Nike Cross Nationals in 15:12.60. Mwaura is a high-level talent with a big upside who will impact a college program almost immediately, and outside of some of the the top runners who have already landed at other programs -- Brodey Hasty to Oregon, Aidan Troutner to BYU, Josh Schumacher and Clayton Mendez to Stanford, Danny Kilrea and Dylan Jacobs to Notre Dame -- Mwaura is one of the last dominoes to fall. His range will extend into cross country and to the track, where he may race anything from the 800m to the 10K.
