Kelsey Chmiel Crushes Ocean State XC Invitational

Kelsey Chmiel crushed the competition at the Ocean State XC Invitational, running over 30 seconds faster then second-place finisher Katherine Lee. Chmiel ran 17.35 for the win, while Lee ran 18:19.

With Chmiel's first-place finish and the rest of the team running well, Saratoga Springs took home the team victory by scoring 63 points over Tewksbury Memorial High School's 75. The ladies went 1, 6, 8, 11, and 37 and had a 19:19 average. 

Both Chmiel and Lee are ranked in out Flo50 rankings. Chimes is ranked Flo50 No. 9 while Lee is ranked 14th. 

In the guys race, Tristan Shelgren of St. John's Prep took home the win over Saint Anthony's Mason Gatewood by hundredths of a second, as both boys went 15:32. 

Wellesley High School from Massachusetts won the boys team title by scoring 79 points.
