Germantown Friends confirmed last season that it was, in fact, ready to reclaim its spot atop the PAISAA. And it did so with an exclamation point, scoring just 50 points to grab a 62 point victory over second place. The Tigers followed up last fall with a national title in the distance medley relay at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.

GFS loses Nick Dahl, a mainstay at the front of the Tigers pack for a few years, so now it will turn to two seniors---Zach Goldberg and Colin Riley---to lead the way. Look for others to step up on this team, as is normally the case for GFS.

The Wesstown School is led by Ryan O'Donnell and may give the best challenge to the favorites from Germantown Friends. Westtown brings back its whole top five from last year, so it should certainly move up from sixth, where it finished last year in the PAISAA. If some young runners step up, it could make this an exciting battle up front.

While, Germantown Friends has some rebuilding to do, so does the rest of the PAISAA on the boys' side. George School brings back Jeffrey Love, who has clocked a sub-16 over 5K last fall, but will need to add some more depth to contend for the title. The Haverford School was second last season, but loses three of its top five. Germantown Academy and Hill School both lose a good amount of seniors, too, and will have to turn
